GIO Workers Compensation – ‘Manage Your Policy’

Complete user journey landing pages re-design completed during my time delivering for commercial product owners and UX designers at Suncorp Group. One of the Suncorp’s flagship brands – GIO Insurance required an overhaul of the UX journey for customers in managing workers compensation policy and claims. Release was to entail the journey and pages for managing policies (release 2 would include the ‘make a claim’ page journey and based on the R1 UX paterns). The brief was to provide a UI similar to a dashboard concept that enabled easy switching between states to manage or renew policies along with accessing training and resources related to workers compensation.

The landing page was re-produced within the company’s CMS authoring – Adobe Experience Manager (which is Suncorp’s main website platform for all it’s main brands in insurance services (AAMI, GIO, APIA, Shannons, Bingle, Suncorp & Vero).

The main objective for this page re-design was to make prominent the main tasks the customers are looking to do – either to get to the ‘make a claim’ journey pages or managing/renewing policies. The CTA buttons ‘make a claim’ needed to be the primary dominant element with sub-menus at the start of each state tab. The content for each state, was divided up into tab with a consistent layout pattern for each tab and using a combination of internal grid control components (Flex) with content containers and the different types (such as accordions, text panels and column layouts). The CTAs re-directed the ‘make a claim’ provided the entry point to the claims funnels for the two types of claims.

Content, wireframes, initial Figma design mockups were provided by the product owners and UX designers. I was provide collaboration in UX shoulder checks and coming up with fine-tuning and alternative solutions with any limitations/gaps with the proposed UX design and building out the final product using the AEM components.

Skills & tools: Adobe Experience Manager along with executing GIO’s CSS style guide and design system, utilising skills in setting responsive layouts within all the components (such as grid controls, content containers, tabs, viewport settings, CTA sections, text panels, customised HTML/CSS settings), Photoshop for hero image sizing and optimisation, on-page SEO and set tagging and tracking on CTA button click events for Adobe Analytics.
